Community guidelines
A few simple commitments keep circles safe, private, and worth being part of.
-
1. What is shared here, stays here
Confidentiality is the foundation of a circle. Do not repeat what someone shares outside the group, and do not identify members elsewhere.
-
2. Everyone’s experience is their own
People come with different diagnoses, decisions and feelings. Listen without judging, and do not tell anyone what they “should” do.
-
3. Share experience, not medical advice
Members can share what happened to them. They cannot diagnose, or tell someone which treatment to choose. Always check with your own doctor.
-
4. No selling or soliciting
Circles are not a place to promote products, treatments, clinics or services. This protects members at a vulnerable time.
-
5. Look out for one another
If someone seems to be in crisis, encourage them to seek professional help. Kindness costs nothing and can mean everything.
-
6. Raising a concern
If something in a circle worries you, contact PCSCI. We take concerns seriously and in confidence.
These guidelines may be updated as the community grows. Concerns can always be raised with PCSCI.
